It's been way too long since I biked to Great Meadows, but I did that today, and it was lovely.

I saw an otter (crossing the path in front of me, on the far side); bluebirds; a harrier; coots; widgeon (at Peeper's Pond in Lexington); more yellow-rumped warblers than you can shake a stick at; golden-crowned kinglets; coots; wood duck; a garter snake (for which I did a graceless bicycle dismount to avoid hitting).

If this was the last of the perfect fall days, I'm ok with that.
