I think this would be the first wild tree frog I've seen North of Florida. I think it must be a gray tree frog (Hyla versicolor). On Monty's kitchen window, in Jaffrey, NH, 2016/09/10.

Point Reyes trip, part 1
Submitted by cfox@mit.edu on
I'm back this evening from a week long trip to California; much of the week was spent visiting with my half sister in Oakland. We went to Point Reyes together on Friday; I have a lot of photographs to process, so here's just a sampling.

scrap of shed snake skin

Found at the corner of North Street and Osgood Street, Medford, glued rather tightly to the sidewalk. I bet it's shed from a DeKay's snake, and washed out of a crevice in the recent rain storm.
