My dear husband had purchased a new chainring for my bicycle, and left it out on a the kitchen table. I had a busy time at work, which rendered me more or less unavailable during all the hours he was awake yesterday (he's been awake overnight lately, in any case), and I also requested that he perform some somewhat more urgent maintenance on my bicycle. So when he told me this morning that he'd also installed the new chainring (which was indeed, no longer on the kitchen table) I thanked him and thought nothing more of it. I certainly didn't ask what became of the old one, or anything like that.
When I went to make pasta this evening, I spotted an odd shadow on the bottom of the pan. I guess I'll look forward to that blog post of his?
