Denton's Tooth

Denton managed to free his loose tooth last night; we've talked about the tooth fairy explicitly as a game that we'll play with him, and he received a Sacagawea dollar (which was somewhat grubby when I dug it out of a coin jar, but Monty polished it up with walnut shell in a tumbler) which he was very happy with.  As requested, here's the result of asking him, "smile so I can see the gap."

I never get tired of these, at least not the cutting open and seeing the pattern:

I can find the 3, 5 and 8 spirals, though the 8 took some imagination.  Denton wasn't really impressed, nor did he want to be chased down for an improptu science lesson, but he was willing to come stand on a stool in the kitchen and stir the pan of onions for me.
