A note from Lavinia, along with a forwarded invitation.
My Dear
Your card came this morning. I had been anxiously looking for a word from you. You + Martha will have to plan about your spring clothes. I know you need some. The enclosed card requires an answer.

Elections of Officers Thimbles,

I can't make out the last word before the RSVP. Notice, though how, mail postmarked one day was forwarded out again with a postmark only a few hours later, and mailed invitations are done for an election only three days away. That's some efficient turn-around.
