Having been through this with her other eye in October, I had some idea what might be in store, when she showed up squinting at the beginning of last week. The corneal ulcer was deemed to have good margins then, so we went to the elaborate eye drop regimen for a week to see if it would heal. Alas, it had not healed, so she got an epithelial debridement surgery today. The chart tracking her eye drops (taped to the fridge) has 17 entries per day.
