Hickory Tussock Moth (Lophocampa caryae). I think we had one of these up at the bathroom the previous week, but this one showed nicely in pictures. Wentworth, NH, 6/14/2015.

My moth blogging will go on hiatus for a bit while I vacation.

I snagged this moth (into the plastic condiment cup) off the sheet in the evening, and photographed it the next morning. It's a Many-lined Wainscot (Leucania multilinea), Wentworth NH, 6/14/2015.

Eyed Baileya (Baileya ophthalmica); all the pictures of them have that floppy asymmetrical look. Wentwort, NH, 6/14/2015.

I had two of these little moths (about 11mm) and I think I've seen them in the bathrooms too (this one was on one of the egg cartons in my collecting bucket. Jeweled Tailed Slug Moth (Packardia geminata), Wentworth NH, 6/14/2015.

I found this very worn Small-eyed Sphinx in the bottom of the collecting bucket when I unpacked it. I couldn't get a natural picture with the hindwing spot showing, as it seemed to want to flutter to the ground and stay there, when I released it.  Small-eyed Sphinx (Paonias myops), Wentworth NH, 06/14/2015.

I actually photographed one of these a week previously on the Pine Haven bathroom wall, but it was gone again by morning, and my low light photograph was not great. Last Sunday I got a somewhat better picture of a specimen that had settled on the wall of my collecting bucket. The curled wings are distinctive, but it unfurled them slightly when I poked at it to chase it away, so I scrambled to get a picture of it that way, too.

I'm reasonably sure that the top one is a Sweetfern Geometer (Cyclophora pendulinaria); it seems likely that the second one is too. 28mm WS (top), Wentworth, NH, 6/14/2015.
